Prenatal Sleep Education: Family Sleep & Wellbeing

This workshop is being given on one-on-one basis at the moment. If you are planning to get pregnant, or already pregnant, this workshop is for you!

Preparing for the arrival of your baby goes beyond setting up the nursery and learning the basics of the feeding and baby care. It’s also about:

  • Looking after your own mental health as new parents
  • Looking after your relationship as partners
  • Ensuring not just the physiological wellbeing of your newborn, but also their mental and emotional health and the overall wellbeing of your family

You bring baby home, now what? In this workshop, you will learn about:

  • The risk of losing yourselves in parenthood
  • Postpartum mental health, including the role of your partner and identifying red flags
  • The role of each caregiver and the importance of a village/ How can we be supported
  • Different sleep settings and safety guidelines
  • Review on most common baby products: are they recommended or not, and why?
  • Realistic expectations in terms of baby sleep: baby schedule, wake windows, baby sleep needs
  • Challenges that may arise and how to handle them
  • Tears and baby’s emotional needs
  • Red flags and when to seek support
  • Preparing for returning to work

This workshop aims to equip parents with the knowledge and tools to navigate common sleep obstacles, promote healthy relations with sleep and optimize the overall sleep and wellbeing of the entire family
Parents will gain confidence in managing sleep disruptions, staying emotionally connected to their child, and nurturing their own self-care amidst the demands of parenthood.
